Thiago Silva is keen to remain at Chelsea for one more season, according to the UK Telegraph.
The 36-year-old joined the Blues as a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
Silva has become one of Chelsea’s most consistent performers this season.
The Brazil defender signed a one-year deal last August with the option to extend for another 12 months.
It is understood Silva wants to activate that option and Chelsea are expected to keep the experienced defender for another campaign.
The report claims that Silva has established himself as a “popular figure” within the dressing hom and has had a big influence on younger players in the squad.
He is currently sidelined with a thigh injury, butis aiming to return for their Premier League clash against Southampton on February 20.
