COVID-19: Oyo leads as Nigeria records 643 new cases, more deaths


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 643 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The development brings the total number of recorded cases in the country to 140,391.

The health agency, while giving the report on its website last night, indicated that 6 persons died due to COVID-19 complications in the country, bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,673.

NCDC also confirmed the discharge of 996 patients in Lagos, Rivers, Plateau, Kaduna and Benue. No fewer than 114,635 patients have been successfully treated and discharged.
