Unidentified gunmen kill hotelier in Osun

A hotelier based in Osun State, Falola Oke, has been shot dead by yet-to-be-identified assailants near his house in Ilesa.

The deceased was said to be the proprietor of Falola Hotel and Rental Services.

He was gunned down around 9:30 pm on Wednesday.

A source in Fadahunsi/Imo area Ilesha, who preferred anonymity, told The Punch, on Thursday, that the late Oke was shot at a close range.

The source said the perpetrators immediately fled the scene, throwing the neighborhood into panic.

The Public Relations Officer of Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the death of the deceased.

She pleaded for more time to give details on the matter.

A close associate of the deceased identified as Isaac Hastrup in a Facebook post described the deceased as “a dogged fighter and a good ambassador of C&S church Idasa Youth Forum.”
