Brighton vs Man United: Solskjaer gives team news update ahead of EPL clash

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has provided the latest team news update ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday afternoon at the Amex Stadium.

Solskjaer said that centre-back, Axel Tuanzebe is close to a return to first-team training as he recovers from a foot injury.

“Axel is getting closer to training with the team. He’s on the grass, and after the international break he should be fine to join us,” Solskjaer told Man United’s official website on Friday.

“During the lockdown, he was working hard, then as soon as we got going after the restart his foot was sore, so he had to have an operation.

“Now he’s really raring to go again. I’m looking forward to getting him back.

“We will get better and better and fitter and fitter. But we can’t wait and say ‘well, we’ll get fit in 3 weeks’ time’. We need to get going straight away.”

Solskjaer added that there are no further fitness concerns in his team ahead of Brighton clash, with defender, Phil Jones, the only other known absentee due to injury.

Solskjaer’s side head to the game after defeating Luton Town 3-0 in the Carabao Cup third-round tie on Tuesday.

The kick-off time for the match is 12:30 pm.
