My love life is dead; I am not dating anyone- Victoria Kimani laments

Former Chocolate City artiste, Victoria Kimani has opened up on her love life. The outspoken Kenyan songstress noted that her love life is dead, adding that she isn’t dating anyone.

Kimani made this known in a recent chat with Kenya TV’s Betty Kyalo.

The sexy singer said: “My love life is dead, I’m not dating anyone. There is someone I want to date, but you know I don’t really think he wants to date me. I think I go for the wrong kind of guys, I think I go for like bad boys and that’s not good

“Now I do want to settle down and have babies but I really need to be with the right person, because my worst fear is to be a single mom. I would like my child to grow up with mom and dad at home. So I’m willing to take my time, rather than rush and have someone’s baby and then he doesn’t want to be with me because then I will go crazy,” she added.

Speaking further, the ‘Show’ crooner revealed her scepticism about the kind of men who side into her DM.

“You know how these guys are in our DMs, sometimes they are not what they say they are. Or maybe they act like they are. Sometimes you don’t know why a guy wants to date you. Is it because they like you as a person or what you think you can benefit from being with them? It’s pretty hard,” she said.

Kimani was born in Los Angeles, California to clergy parents. She has two older brothers. She grew up partly in Benin City, Nigeria, where her parents were doing missionary work. She began singing at the age of 9; at age 16, she began performing alongside other church choir members as a back-up and writing songs for others.

Before moving back to her mother country, Kenya, she met one of her fan named bright Chukwuma who had a life long crush on her. Rumours has it that this young man refused to date anyone else other than Victoria. She later dropped out to fully pursue a career in music.
