Police Public Relations Officer
(PRO), Dolapo Badmus, has sent a message to the LGBT community in Nigeria,
stating that the country is not a place for homosexuals. She reveled this in a
post shared on her Instagram page on January 14.
Dolapo revealed that if the
perpetrators of such criminal act wanted to practice at will then they should
consider leaving the country as anyone found wanting will face the full extent
of the law.
Badmus also mentioned that there
is a same sex prohibition act that criminalises homosexuality with penalties of
up to 14 years imprisonment. She thus warned that if anyone feels that they are
homosexually inclined, they should exit the country or face prosecution.
Her statement sparked up a heated
debate online with most accusing the police of neglecting their duties as many
Nigerian men now show they are homosexuals in their style.
Many mentioned self-acclaimed,
female Barbie, Bobrisky as he is very well known for being a cross dresser.
There are times he has also claimed to be in relationships with men.
In response, Badmus clarified
that no one will be arrested based on assumptions and dared that if anyone has
damning evidence against any 'risky' man, they should step forward. Read her

So in other words, the police wants us to do their work for them.. Bobrisky has several times said he's into men, why not invite him for questioning or carry out an undercover investigation.. As usual, thy're been lazy
