Shehu Sani, the senator
representing Kaduna central, has reacted to the kidnapping of 87 passengers by
armed bandits operating along Birnin-Gwari, Kaduna State.
Recall that armed bandits
operating along Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna Highways kidnapped 87 passengers on Sunday.
Reacting, Sani appealed to
President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently fund and equip the security agencies in
the country so as to enable them combat the bandits.
According to him, it was time to
end the bloodshed and kidnappings in Nigeria.
The Kaduna lawmaker on his
Twitter page wrote: “An appeal to @MBuhari to urgently fund & equip the
Army, the Police, DSS and the Civil Defence to enable them combats the Bandits
& Protect the people of Birnin Gwari LG, Kaduna state.
“It’s time to end the bloodshed
and the kidnappings. The Bandits have superiority firepower for now.”
