The University of Lagos (UNILAG)
has debunked claims that the institution is set to commence the 2017/2018
online screening from Wednesday, August 9th to Wednesday, August 31st 2017.
In a circular sent by the
management, UNILAG described the text message sent via social media as a scam
and called on the public to visit the school’s official website for authentic
information.
“It has come to the notice of the University authorities that a text message is being circulated which advertised that the on-line registration for the 2017/2018 Screening Exercise for admission will commence from Wednesday, August 9th to Wednesday, August 31st 2017.Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
“This is a scam. The message did not emanate from the University of Lagos.
“Members of the public are advised to ignore this message as the University of Lagos has not commenced the 2017/2018 Admission Exercise. The University website is the only authentic source of information on admissions,” the statement read.
