What Alex Iwobi told me about Arsenal, Arsene Wenger – Henry Onyekuru

Nigerian forward, Henry Onyekuru has revealed what Alex Iwobi told him about Arsenal as he makes decision to join the North London giants.


Onyekuru said he asked Iwobi some questions about manager, Arsene Wenger when they met at the Nigeria national team camp.

It had been reported that Onyekuru had confirmed talks with Arsenal in an interview published on the official twitter handle of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

The 19-year-old said Iwobi told him some nice things concerning Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.

He told newsmen, “He [Iwobi] is a nice fellow, who is open to all despite his star status in the team. We talked a bit about Arsenal and their manager Arsene Wenger and he has nothing but praises for his manager and teammates.

“Iwobi said they are like a family in the dressing room, and even the senior players treat the upcoming players like their equals. It was a very brief discussion but he said a lot of good things about the club.”
