A soldier has just shot a boy to death in front of Command Secondary School in Command Junction By Sabo Express Road, Kaduna. The deceased was said to be packing sand in front of the school when the soldier ordered him to stop.

The boy allegedly pleaded to be allowed to pack the sand so as to get something to eat today as the place belongs to nobody. This angered soldier and shouted, 'Who the hell is this bloody civilian to argue with me?'. As the boy was approaching him, the soldier again said, 'And you advancing towards me?' and shot him dead.

  3. The soldier has to protect himself cos of d uncertainty happening in d area. Who knows why the boy was approaching the soldier on duty know fully well wen a military man say stop u most stop. I'm sure he was sent dere to monitor and study d affairs going on dere so dey can come n bomb the sch children learning cos they never want their people to learn so they wont find out dere evil ways or how dey r destroyin dere youths. May his soul rest in peace but it isn't d army fault

  7. This is not good at all. ]Human life is never valued in Nigeria at all. even if the boy was advancing towards the soldier, i think and believe that what the soldier would have done would have been to incapacitate the poor boy (shot in the air first, or at worst, take him from the leg). You see this is what we have been saying about this country, anyone just does what he or she likes. and one thing is that whatever comes around, goes round. May the soul of the poor boy rest in peace. Amen.

  8. Nigerians need to be educated about relations with the military. If the soldier had fired a warning shot, the boy would have frozen and the soldier can ask for identification from a distance. Misfiring is actually an act of cowardice. People with arms only feel secure by touching the trigger. Armed personnel should not always rely on weapons to assert their authority, they too should undergo mediation and public relation training. As for the boy, he is now a matyre. May God grant him eternal peace.
