Alexis Sanchez has picked Alex Iwobi, as the Arsenal youngster who caught his eye last season.
The Chilean, who recently spoke to the Gunners’ official website, hailed the Nigerian’s “winning mentality”, as well as his versatility.
“I really like Alex [Iwobi].
“He’s a player that can play up front, in the centre, he’s good at one on ones.
“If he has a winning mentality and keeps pushing forward I think he can do very well. I really like him,” Sanchez said.
Iwobi made 38 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions last term, scoring four times.
The 21-year-old was even given Sanchez’s old number 17 shirt.
