Paul Pogba travels to Mecca to mark start of Ramadan fast

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has started his end of season break, with a trip to Mecca as the month of Ramadan begins.

Pogba’s visit to Saudi Arabia, comes only three days after he helped United win the Europa League, with a 2-1 win over Ajax in Stockholm.

The 24-year-old took to his Instagram and posted a boomerang of himself swishing round his luggage with the caption: “On my way to go say thank you for this season. See you soon Manchester! En route to my prayers.”

Pogba also uploaded another image of him dressed in white, as he looked to be embarking on a pilgrimage on the holy month of Ramadan as part of his Muslim beliefs.

The France international is taking some time off before returning for pre-season. Manchester United have six scheduled pre-season tour fixtures to be played in the United States and Norway.
