Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to resign if he truly loves the country.
Fayose said this is because ill heath is not allowing the President to effectively discharge his constitutional duties.
Taking to his Facebook wall, the Special Assistant to Ekiti State Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka, said Fayose gave this advice when he addressed newsmen in Lagos on Tuesday.
He noted that the governor said being an avowed corruption fighter, Buhari is now under moral burden to save Nigeria from needless stagnation arising from his heath challenges that have impacted negatively on his performance.
Fayose reportedly said that fighting corruption was not limited to discovering large sums of money here and there, but doing the right thing at the right time.
The governor said that taking a bow when necessary was also an indication of being morally upright.
Olayinka wrote: “The governor, who appraised the two years of the Buhari administration, said the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government had failed to deliver on its promises.
“So far, the APC-led Federal Government has been a government of misadventure and Nigerians are worse for it. They say they are fighting corruption but are shielding corrupt elements within their fold.
“Members of the opposition defect to the APC for protection. Fighting corruption is more than discovering huge sums of money all over the place, with nobody being traced to be the owners, moral corruption too is bad.
“He can do us the great help by resigning. Not resigning borders on his integrity. His absence allows others to suppress and oppress others and that means he is allowing others to suppress their fellow human beings.
“There are many governments in one and they are clueless. We need an active president, going by our numerous challenges. How long will Nigerians wait for an incapacitated president?
”We cannot wait again for somebody to hold us to ransom. I don’t have any bad blood against Buhari; Osinbajo has no powers without the president. He owes us the duty to tell us the state of his health.”
On the performance of the economy, Fayose said it had gone from bad to worse.
He also lamented that the middle class had been wiped off.
“There is no middle class anymore. Economic indicators are not cheery at last. They borrow money on a daily basis and committing funds that ought to accrue to all tiers of government to servicing the loans,” Fayose added.
Mr governor, Ebonyi state had banned the sale of foreign rice in their state because they were able to produce enough for themselves, Lagos had partnered with Kebbi state to produce LAKE rice, where is your scorecard? Buhari says enough of decimation of the North via Boko haram, public fund looting must stop, budget padding should go, Federal appointment must reflect the six geographical zones, no to fake life, fake economic growth. How many jet owners gathered at Minna last time for IBB daughter's wedding, how many of them bought the jet from genuine business, they all acquire the jet by virtue of been occupied one position or the other in government before. Buhari said no to that type of cheating. By GOD's grace 2019, there will be free dollars and naira like it was 2015 whether Buhari contested or not. You called Buhari tyrant yet he had never remarked your utterances neither had he shook you by removing your security the way PDP presidents used to do. You say Buhari doesn't obey courts but you withdrew from your frozen account after court injunction at your favour. Buhari was the one that killed PDP, it was you and Wike who forced Ali Modu Sheriff on the party that did, you are now trying to fight nemesis, no way for the wicked. Who is more tyrant than you who mobilized thugs to distablize and beat judges at court premises, you drove away entire house of assembly from sitting so as to avoid impeachment imminent on you that time. Baba Buhari can but never aided them with Abuja power to do so the way PDP presidency does. You said baba Buhari will die but GOD ALMIGHTY till now refuse to vindicate you, can't you see that life belongs to ALMIGHTY? Anyway you and your friend FKK are just marking time, the North you people continue to demonize using religion, terrorism, herdsmen etc are not your equals, at the appointed time regrets shall be your portion whether Nigeria remain one or divides. Opposition is different from hatred and enmity.
ReplyDeleteThis Fayose and femi fani kayode, there prayers always is for PMB to die so that they can use tribalism and plead for forgiveness from Osinbajo for their dirty deals. They just remaind noise makers and public nuisance and by the grace of God, GOD will disgrace them. And should understand that northerners are ever ready to discusses how to divide the country, will see how Ijaw, Itsecri, Ikwere, Igbo, Yoruba's , Ogoni and Ibibios all will live together as one nation peacefully.

I may not be a big fan of Gov. Ayodele Fayose, but he sometimes speaks the truth. PMB doesn't need to love Nigeria for him to resign, if he truly Loves himself, he should have resigned long ago. It is only in this part of the world that a leader has health challenges and still remains the President. Those that insists on PMB remaining there are those that don't love him... QED.
