Ideye Joyous After Scoring First Career Hat-trick

Nigeria striker Brown Ideye is looking forward to a great season after firing a hat-tick in Olympiacos' 6-1 thumping of Veria FC on Sunday at the Karaiskakis Stadium.

Ideye opened his goals account in the 25th minute with a simple tap into an empty net after goalkeeper Jonathan Lopez had saved Seba’s close range strike.

The Super Eagles star completed the rout with a late brace in the 61st and 89th minutes to complete his first career hat-trick.

"Looking forward to a Great season," Ideye tweeted.

"Great start of season, awesome fans support, massive victory! first hat trick in my pro career."

Olympiacos, the current Greek champions who won the title for a record 43rd time last term, currently lead the log after just one game.

Next up for Ideye and his teammates is an away trip to Switzerland to face Young Boys in Thursday's UEFA Europa League group stage clash.
