I sued Fayose because he insulted me – Aisha Buhari

Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has disclosed that she instituted legal action against Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State because he insulted her and her family.

In an interview with the Hausa service of the Voice of America (VOA), Mrs Buhari also accused the governor of making false allegation against her.

“At the time, he was not the only one insulting us, but people felt that it was just campaign. After the election, which we won and they lost, everyone else moved on except him and he extended his insults to me.

“I did not run for president. I am a married woman and I have never called his name. I never knew him. But as governor and chief executive, he kept insulting and raising false allegations against me. I have to respond and I decided to go to court.

”He made allegations over what he said I did here in the US, even though I have never met the people he mentioned,” she said.

  1. Hear who is talking, how did Fayose insulted you? If patience Jonathern were to sue is going to be almost all Nigerians, you have visited USA and come back and u weren't arrested because you are the wife of sitting president abi? Go after 2019 and hear yourself

    1. Johnson, this comment of yours is unfair. No body insulted Patience Jonathan. You are just been biased. Aisha Buhari is just showing us that she is a responsible woman. Instead of engaging Fayose, she decided to approach this matter this way. Is it not better she goes to court so that she clears her name? If she's even the one, let's all know. I give Mr. Buhari kudos for this her responsible behavior.

    2. Johnson, I want to strongly believe that is how you allow your wife (that is if you're married) to be insulted by every Dick and Harry. You and your wife may take bulls**t but Aisha Buhari will not. So get that straight into your blockhead and pass that on to the thug governor.

  5. Mr Jonhson . Why are u people not objective in your critising plp. Do you think USA is like Nigeria where you can bribe your criminal activities out . No way. Instead of you to castigate the tug you have as a governor you are taking side like a gullible nonetity individual

  7. Fayose as a Governor should be matured enough to know how to talk. His comments about this woman is character assassination and the woman has right to clear her name. Fayose should come and explain to the court and Nigerians with evidence. I believe that this is beyond politics. So the woman is right to have gone to court period
