Emmanuel Macron, France's economy minister has resigned.
The French President’s Office confirmed Macron’s resignation on Tuesday. The Presidency also announced that Finance Minister Michel Sapin would take his position alongside his current post.
Macron's resignation is seen as a move aimed at clearing the way for a presidential bid in next year’s elections.
