Agoro, a politician and religious leader, described Melaye’s action against Senator Remi Tinubu on the floor of the Senate as a dent on the citizenry and the party on which he stood for election.
The traditional spoke yesterday at his Oluyole home in Ibadan, where he showed copy of Court of Appeal judgment in favour of his party and seven other political parties which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) de-registered in 2014.
Agoro, who won in the Appeal Court case against INEC, restoring his political party, the National Action Council (NAC) and six others, called for sanction against Melaye.
This, he noted, would prevent any lawmaker from such shameful and graceful conduct.
He added that it would portray Nigerians not as dirty people, but descent and respected.
He said: “No wonder, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, without mincing words, told the whole world that the National Assembly is full of corrupt legislators. That was a weighty statement. When you say corruption, you are not limiting it to taking bribe. It could be immoral. By what he did on the floor of the Senate, I will say Melaye has committed immorality.
“For this young man to have lost morality and commonsense on the floor of the hallowed chamber, to have threatened to beat up a woman, that was too much. You don’t say you want to beat up another man’s wife on the hallowed chamber; forget who the husband is.
“That issue is beyond political scene. It raises the question of morality. When a man says he will beat up another man’s wife and even impregnate her, it means the man has admitted to be a rapist.
“By now, the police should have stepped in. It’s a reckless and senseless vituperation that should be taken beyond the floor of the Senate.
“The young man has been so reckless ever since he became a senator. It shows how corrupt he is. I don’t know why that type of character should be allowed to continue staying in the Senate.
“The APC should have by now sanctioned him to protect the name of the party, not demanding an apology from him. I could have taken him court, if not for anything, because we don’t expect characters like him in the Senate. He should be made to face the music.”
Is it because she is tinubu's wife . Ordinary people go through worst situations than this everyday and nobody says anything.

ReplyDeleteAgreed Dino could be rough atimes but in this one he is not at fault. Dino is a yoruba man, he is therefore rich in yoruba culture and not strange at it. Ask Oluremi whether she was the one that at first raises her voice and called him a dog and thug. if yes, how do you expect Dino to react? The dogs do sex in the public and thugs do beats in the public as well not minding whose wife or relation is someone. This doesn't mean that, that is what Dino does. Again Oluremi has abused all the citizens of Kogi west,the region that produce the Awoniyis, the olu Kabbas, The Smart Adeyemis etc. Kogi is not slave to Lagos despite the treatment her husband met out to people of the state by trying to export a Lagosian as governor of the state and GOD said NO. His plan was nullified in his very eye with the death of Audu Abubakar. Again the contribution from Dino that warranted that very insult from her,if it is from a senator from the core north like the Kwankwosos, the Yerimas etc, i don't think Oluremi can insult them that way. Finally go to court and Dino's lawyers will meet you there. KOGI refuse to be enslaved by Tinubus.

The Okuns i know are not bullies or thugs, They are well respected, reputable, educated, classy ,peaceful, respectful and loving people.With Kwarans ,they have always served as the bridge between the Southwest and the North. leaders like Awoniyi , Daniyan, Lambo etc are well known to the nation for their contributions to the peaceful co-existence of Nigeria.Their unique position as Yorubas in the North and bridge builders has never been underestimated. The Okuns have never been subservient to any group even amongst the Yoruba race. Dinos is not and has never been a leader of the okuns. The impression that he stood up to the Tinubus to prevent the colonisation of his people from the forces from Lagos is bogus .He is only trying to create animosity between the okuns and the West to remain politically relevant.It is a divide and conquer strategy. APC needed to dislodge PDP at all cost in the last general election so, they assembled all kinds of people, rogues, noise makers, criminals ,moral derelicts, corrupt individuals e.t.c.Now that APC is in government,It is time to define the ideology and standards for APC.It is time to weed out unfits and save Nigeria from unwarranted embarassments .Okun can do better than Dino in fact we did with Smart Adeyemi.Never before has okun attracted so much negative image.

Where is the Yoruba ethic in her. In an open no man will accept such insult no matter how highly placed you or your husband is in the society. If you now you have a name to protect, then you need to behave yourself even in the public.
