Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Schalke 04 defender defender Joel Matip.
Cameroon international Matip, who agreed a switch to Anfield in February, was officially registered as a Liverpool player on July 1, after his contract at Bundesliga side Schalke had ended.
Matip will report for preseason training at Melwood on July 2, as Jurgen Klopp's side start their preparations for the 2016-17 season.
The 24-year-old arrives at the Merseyside outfit on a free transfer after reportedly signing a four-year deal with the Reds.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Joel Matip has today officially been registered as a Liverpool player, finalising his transfer to the club.
"The centre-back's long-term contract with the Reds has begun following the conclusion of his previous deal with Bundesliga side FC Schalke."
New signings Loris Karius, Sadio Mane and Marko Grujic will also be present for the start of preseason, as well as Mario Balotelli and Lazar Markovic, who spent last season out on loan at AC Milan and Fenerbahce respectively.
