AC Milan Looking To Hijack Benatia's Transfer

AC Milan are trying to hijack Mehdi Benatia’s transfer from Bayern Munich to Juventus, with the Rossoneri hoping to convince the Moroccan that he will have more playing opportunities at the San Siro.

Benatia is reportedly close to being unveiled as a Juventus player, with the Italian champions and Bayern having reached an agreement over the transfer of the player.

However, the Moroccan defender has yet to sign on the dotted line himself and now has another option to consider, with Milan promising him a starring role alongside Alessio Romagnoli in the heart of defence – something Juve cannot guarantee given their strength in depth.

Sky Sports report that it is up to Benatia to decide which club he will choose. Either way, the North African looks to be bringing to a close a disappointing chapter of his career as he struggled to establish himself with Bayern.

Benatia’s imminent return to Italy will see him play for a third different Serie A club, having featured for Udinese from 2010 to 2013 and Roma in 2013/14.
