Abia Politics: Ikpeazu takes politics to church

Following the political tension in Abia State, where the people are seemingly confused about who exactly is their governor,  Gov. Okezie Ipeazu who was recently sacked from office took politicking to the church in order to retain his seat.

Embattled Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, during a prayer summit at the Government House Chapel took his case to the church.

Members of the church congregation were split when asked to pray for the embattled Governor. While some saw no reason to make the prayer point, a lot of women were rolling down in tears praying to the heavens for the restoration of the beloved Governor.

Speaking to the church members after the prayer session, Gov. Ikpeazu admonished them to keep calm, and continue to pray for God’s justice.  He went further to remind the people that he is still the Governor of the State, describing his position as the Governor as a divine mandate.
