Former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, (retd), has promised that he will continue to advise both the federal and state governments where necessary to move the country forward, even as he called for total support for the government.

“I am ready and willing to continuously offer beneficial advice to the federal and state governments”,General Babangida declared in Minna, yesterday when he received the Chairman and members of the Niger State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The PDP working committee led by state chairman of PDP, Tanko Beji, visited the former Military President at his uphill residence on his return to the country after a medical check- up. General Babangida said: ”I am committed to the Project Nigeria because I have no other country that I can call my own.” He solicited the cooperation and support of all Nigerians to governments at all levels, saying “‘without our support the governments cannot achieve their plans for the states and the nation.” The former military ruler expressed gratitude to the delegation for finding time to visit him and assured them that he would always be available when called upon.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Beji prayed God to grant the former military president sound health to serve the state and nation longer.

He urged Babangida not to relent in his advisory role, saying “the younger generation is happy to be tapping from your wealth of experience.”

  4. No State in Nigeria can boast of implementing a successful agricultural produce capable of feeding their state. Almost all state don't think of what to do and how to do it to generate income. They're all waiting and only depend on Allocation. Ogun, Oyo and Osun State should team up and start producing foods for southwest and Lagos State should help to support Financially. Each Zone really need Team work now for better Nigeria.
