England skipper Wayne Rooney has revealed that he is developing his penalty-taking skills by telling the English goalkeepers which way he is going to shoot.
The Manchester United forward believes that his trick in training will help him produce the goods if the Three Lions require penalties in their Round of 16 clash with Iceland or at any other stage of Euro2016.
He said: "If I'm practising penalties, I will practise as if I'm taking it in the game.
"It's important players do that because you get into the rhythm of the corner where you want to go.
"Whatever corner I am going for, I tell the goalkeeper, so that makes it harder for me. If he can't save it, despite knowing which way I am going, there are no worries for me in taking them.
"It's more difficult, but if he doesn't save it, it's fine. It's important you have in your head what you are going to do if you have to do it in the game."
