Swansea Boss Hoping For Ayew Stay

Swansea City coach Francesco Guidolin has expressed his desire to keep Ghana star Andre Ayew at the club despite growing interest in him from West Ham United, Liverpool and Sunderland.

“I hope he stays. I don’t know, but we have discovered other good characteristics with him. He says he is not a striker and he is a midfielder but in my opinion he is a striker. He is also a good false nine," Guidolin told reporters.

“He is a big player, but his attitude is good. He is an important player, but he is quiet, a good guy.”

It is quite clear that Ayew is seen as more than just a quality player but someone who has a good character and adds flexibility to the Swansea squad, so expect the club to put up a fight to keep the Ghana international.

Ayew joined Swansea on a free transfer from Marseille last summer and his return on investment has proven his quality. He has netted 12 goals to help the club finish 12th in the English Premier League.
