May environmental sanitation exercise: Lagos suspends movement restriction



The Lagos State Government has suspended the restriction order on human and vehicular movement during the May monthly environmental sanitation exercise tomorrow.



 Commissioner for the Environment, Dr. Babatunde Adejare, who announced this yesterday, said the suspension was in order to allow for free movement of examination materials and also for students, invigilators and other stakeholders to participate effectively in the National Business and Technical Examinations Board, NABTEB, examination expected to be held across the Nation on Saturday, May 28, 2016.

  1. I think it's even time to stop all these obnoxious and archaic laws that further portray us as animals. Any human being knows when his house/environment is dirty. Persuasion, living by example and appeal is always better than coercion! When those dirts are generated, you all know how much time it takes for LAWMA to pack them and how much of the dirts are allowed by LAWMA trucks to litter the road again as they carry them to dump sites. Let this nonsense restriction be stopped for good jare.

    1. I totally agree with you that the law should be abolished. Most law enforcement agencies take advantage of this archaic law to corruptly enrich themselves.
