Argentine legend Diego Maradona was among the spectators as Egyptian club Al Ahly recorded a huge upset when they defeated top Serie A side Roma 4-3 in a friendly played at the Al Ain Stadium in Dubai Friday night.
Egypt skipper Mohamed Salah was among the scorers for Roma, who also introduced Nigerian youngster Sadiq Umar late in this thrilling encounter.
Ahmed El-Sheikh grabbed the winning goal deep into stoppage time.
Ahly other scorers were Walid Soliman, Momen Zakaria and John Antwi.
The great Diego Maradona was in the stands watching this match.
Roma finished third in the Italian Serie A this past season and will feature in the qualifiers for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
