Good evening and welcome to NigerianEye's live commentary of the 2016 Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in Milan.
Real Madrid will go in search of their 11th European Cup tonight on what is their 14th appearance in the final of this particular competition.
Atletico, meanwhile, are in the final for a third time, but are still seeking their first European Cup, having lost out to Bayern Munich in 1974 and Real Madrid in 2014.
Atletico have won seven of their last 16 matches against Real Madrid in all competitions and only suffered four defeats in the process.

ET 12 min Bale has a powerful strike blocked as Real Madrid threaten on the counter following a wonderful piece of work from Isco. Both teams are going for it in the latter stages of this first period.
ET 10 min Real Madrid seem to be lacking energy at the moment as Atletico continue to force the issue in the final third. Another corner comes into the Real Madrid box, but Danilo is up to head behind.
ET 8 min Atletico keep possession outside the Real Madrid box as they attempt to work a yard of space and eventually Danilo is forced to head behind as Juanfran looks to pick out the head of Carrasco.

Sergio Ramos sent Real Madrid into a 15th-minute lead, but Carrasco levelled in the 79th minute to force extra-time once again. Real Madrid won 4-1 when this occurred in the 2014 final, but I just cannot see the same outcome this time around. The first half of extra-time will soon start here.

85 min Oblak is across to palm a near-post Bale effort behind once again.
84 min Real Madrid still look shell-shocked as Atletico continue to threaten. Torres has another half-chance for Simeone's side, but heads wide of Navas's near post from inside the box.
82 min Well, it was never going to be straight-forward was it!
80 min Oh my word! Atletico level! Real Madrid should be 2-0 ahead, but Atletico are now back on terms as Carrasco bundles a Juanfran cross home from inside the box! What a moment for him!

79 min CHANCES! Two super chances for Real Madrid! However, Oblak keeps out a close-range Ronaldo effort and Savic clears Bale's strike on route to goal - what a piece of defending!
79 min Oblak gets down to keep out a strike from Ronaldo as the match continues to open up!
77 min REAL MADRID SUB! Vasquez replaces Benzema in Real's final change.
76 min Real Madrid are preparing to make their third and final change - Lucas Vasquez.
74 min Little over 15 minutes of normal time remaining and still Real Madrid lead 1-0. You just get the feeling that there is something in this game for Atletico, however, as the Red and Whites continue to threaten. Griezmann really should have levelled from the spot early in the second period.
72 min REAL MADRID SUB! Kroos replaces Isco for Real Madrid.
71 min SAVE! Super save from Oblak to keep out Benzema from inside the box!
70 min Ronaldo skippers away from Savic and breaks into the Atletico box, but Godin is across to make the challenge and Atletico can threaten once again. Real Madrid have numbers back though and eventually clear the danger to Bale, who has the legs and energy to make ground down the right.
68 min... Bale strikes, but it hits the wall and goes behind for a corner. Danger not over!
68 min Real Madrid have a free kick in a dangerous area as Godin brings Ronaldo to the deck...
66 min Danilo breaks down the right and delivers a cross into Benzema, but Godin is on hand to make the clearance and it is Atletico's turn to break. End-to-end football, but it is Real Madrid that lead with 66 minutes on the clock. There are some tired legs and minds out there at the moment!
63 min Just a reminder that it was Ramos who equalised for Real Madrid in the 2014 final, before Los Blancos went on to win 4-1 in extra-time. This final is far from over as Atletico continue to threaten.
61 min BOOKING! Torres (Atletico) is booked for a late challenge on Ramos.
60 min CHANCE! Atletico continue to threaten and Torres manages to deliver a super cross into Saul, but the Spaniard's volley is wide of the post. All one-way traffic at the moment in Milan.
57 min Little over 30 minutes of normal time remaining and Atletico come close once again as Koke strikes one towards the top corner, but his effort was always moving wide of the post. Both managers have two permitted changes remaining, but unsurprisingly, there is no movement at the moment.
55 min CHANCE! Savic just pokes wide of the Real Madrid post as Atletico threaten again!
54 min Real Madrid were comfortable for long spells of the second period, but Atletico are now the team on the front foot and I would be surprised if we had seen the last of the goals in 90 minutes. Juanfran delivers another terrific cross towards the far post, but Danilo does enough to head behind.
52 min REAL MADRID SUB! Real Madrid are forced into a change as Carvajal, who looks to have pulled his hamstring, leaves the field for Danilo. Carvajal had been on a first-half booking for Los Blancos.
50 min You would have backed Griezmann to level the scores, but his effort smashed the woodwork and it is a massive let-off for Real Madrid, who have made a fairly slow start to the second period here.
48 min CROSSBAR! Griezmann fires his effort against the crossbar!
47 min BOOKING! Navas (Real Madrid) is booked for delaying the spot kick.
47 min Atletico are awarded a penalty as Pepe bundles Torres to the ground inside the box! Pepe attempted to move ahead of the Spanish striker and was simply too clumsy! What a moment!

46 min RESTART! Here we go then - both sets of players re-join us on the pitch for the second 45 minutes. Can Atletico find a route back into this match? We shall see! Real Madrid resume the action...
The referee brings the first period to a close with Real Madrid leading 1-0 courtesy of a 15th-minute goal from Ramos, who bundled home from close range. Atletico have had a couple of dangerous moments through Griezmann, but Real Madrid deserve their lead here.
45 min+2 HALF-TIME: Real Madrid 1-0 Atletico
45 min+1 Just the one additional minute to be played at the end of the first period.
44 min Almost at the break and Real Madrid still lead courtesy of that Ramos finish in the 15th minute. Atletico wanted offside and they might well have a case, but it was very, very close indeed.
42 min CLOSE! Griezmann once again for Atletico, but his low strike is wide of the post. The Frenchman is the one player for Atletico looking capable of levelling the scores it must be said.
40 min No real chances to report in the last few minutes and it would be fair to say that Atletico have managed to slow Real Madrid in the final third of the field. Los Blancos might be ahead, but this game is far from over and Griezmann hits another effort into the arms of the waiting Navas.
37 min Atletico are starting to enjoy more possession, but Real Madrid are dropping back and look very comfortable at the back. Torres has to come very deep to get the ball and Real Madrid clear again.
35 min Super save from Navas, who keeps out a volley from Griezmann, but the Atletico attacker was in an offside position. Much better work from Atletico as Saul found his teammate free inside the box.
34 min Griezmann hits one from distance, but it is a comfortable save for Navas once again.
32 min SAVE! Oblak is forced to get down and make another smart save from Benzema, who had drilled an effort towards the far post. Real Madrid are much more threatening in this match.
29 min Atletico enjoy a venture forward and manage to force a corner from Pepe, but Koke's delivery is comfortable for Navas. Eventually the ball is recycled and Koke attempts to deliver towards the far post, but it is too strong and Real Madrid can resume with a goal kick. Still 1-0 Los Blancos here.
27 min Real Madrid again work the ball into a wide position and Ronaldo delivers towards the far post, but Oblak is on hand to claim. Atletico just cannot get into the game as things stand in Milan.
22 min Atletico's back four need more from their midfield at the moment as Real Madrid continue to break the lines. Ronaldo hits one from distance, but Savic is on hand to make another smart block.
20 min Atletico would have wanted to frustrate Real Madrid in the opening 20, 25 minutes, but Simeone's side are now very much up against it. That said, there is still plenty of time left for things to change at the San Siro. Real Madrid have been fired up from the moment the first whistle was blown though.
18 min There was certainly a hint of offside about that goal, but the linesman kept his flag down and Real Madrid are ahead. Atletico need to find a way of settling after a relatively slow start in Milan.
16 min Breakthrough! Real Madrid take the lead in the 15th minute of the contest as Kroos's free kick is flicked on by Bale and Ramos is on hand to poke home from close range. What a moment!
15 min GOAL! Real Madrid 1-0 Atletico (Ramos)
14 min Saul threatens to release a strike inside the Real Madrid box after driving past Kroos, but Navas is out to claim at the vital moment. Real Madrid are still on top, but Atletico are seeing more of the ball. It must be said that the opening 14 minutes of this contest have absolutely flown past here.
11 min BOOKING! Spoke too soon - Carvajal (Real Madrid) is indeed booked.
11 min Carvajal absolutely flattens Griezmann. No booking though! Good grief it just had to be!
10 min Atletico's defence is being put under pressure in the early exchanges and it would be fair to say that both Bale and Ronaldo are fired-up. Real Madrid force another corner as Kroos has a strike blocked by Savic, but the set piece is played short and ultimately cleared. High-tempo stuff here!
8 min No bookings thus far, but there have been some very tasty challenges! Juanfran hacks Ronaldo to the ground before Ramos bundles over Torres. Busy opening eight minutes for the referee!
6 min... SAVE! What a save! Stunning from Oblak as the Atletico goalkeeper somehow keeps out a close-range Casemiro effort. Bale delivered a wonderful free kick into Casemiro, who looked certain to finish from close range, but Oblak stopped the ball with his feet. Sensational stuff!
6 min First half-chance for Atletico as Koke meets a loose ball inside the Real Madrid box, but his scuffed effort is comfortable for Navas. Down the other end, Real Madrid break away and Gabi fouls Bale...
4 min As expected, it has been a very cagey start, with both teams just attempting to settle. Atletico make some ground down the right, but Saul cannot squeeze a cross into the box and Real Madrid resume with possession of the ball. The first goal - if there indeed is one - could be vital tonight.
2 min... it is the 125th game in this season's Champions League, and indeed the last. Already something for referee Mark Clattenburg to deal with as Koke flies into a late challenge with Casemiro, which brings a furious reaction from Pepe. I think, think that he might see one or two yellow cards here!
0 min KICKOFF! Here we go then - a few minutes later than expected. It must be said that there is a sensational atmosphere inside the stadium as Atletico officially get the 2016 final underway in Milan...
