Mikel scores against PSG

The rare goal scorer, John Mikel Obi on Tuesday scored on the stroke of half-time to brighten Chelsea’s chance of making the last eight of the UEFA Champions league. His goal cancelled Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal and gave Chelsea lifeline going into the second half of the encounter in Paris.

Mikel made amends with a flourish, as Costa flicks on a corner at the near post, leaving the midfielder with the time and space to lash home the leveler with the last kick of the half.

However, Edinson Cavani came off the bench to score the winner as Paris Saint-Germain beat Chelsea 2-1 in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League at Parc des Princes.

The Uruguay international replaced Lucas Moura in the 74th minute and converted a crucial goal minutes after, firing beneath Thibaut Courtois to hand PSG a slender advantage ahead of the second leg at Stamford Bridge on March 9.
