Nigerians react to the epic Olamide/Don Jazzy beef at 2015 Headies

The social media is currently on fire, as Nigerians have started to react to the surprise beef between two industry heavyweights, Olamide and Don Jazzy at the Headies awards over the outcome of the much converted “Next Rated Award”.

NigerianEye gathered that trouble started when the favorite for the award Lil Kesh (Signed under Olamide's YBNL record) surprisingly failed to win the The Next Rated Award which is arguably the biggest award of the night which also comes with a lot of recognition (and the bonus of a brand Hyundai Car) and Mavin artist Reekado Banks won it instead.

Apparently this angered Olamide  and harsh words were dropped, with Don Jazzy also ending the night with a bombshell saying “Olamide, if you want the car come and collect it”.

  3. Bunch of noise makers who make noise onstage less than 20% can actually voke a song without instrumentals.Go gospel and see if you will be able to even stand near the door. Somebody started a war and got a response and we are here looking for whom to blame. He should have gone to his house and fight with him than creating a public drama. Mchewwww

  9. Ironically, no one has questioned or examined the criteria by which the award winner was determined. This is a classic case of herd mentality. No shepherd, just moving head-long!

  11. For the first time I see people who are thinking properly. The last two guys. Do we really know the criteria for selection for the Award? The hit songs of Lil Kesh Olamide referred to, look at them very well. Is the award necessarily for the most popular songs or the individual talent? Lil Kesh hit songs basically involved featuring a host of different artistes for Shoki, efejoku.... what was Lil Kesh individual contribution in percentage to the others? The award is for personal talent and not necessarily packing stars into a song. What individual talent does the artiste have to sustain himself and stand the test of time. Honestly, in terms of individual talent, I give it to Reekado, but in terms of hottest songs I give it to Lil Kesh. So we need to first know the criteria for the Award.
