The leaders and people of Okerenkoko, Gbaramatu Kingdom, in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, have given their total support to the Economic and Finance Crimes Commission, EFCC, in its probe of Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, over the alleged N13 billion paid by Federal Government for the acquisition of the Maritime University land in the community.
The leaders, who spoke through Chief Micheal Johnny, yesterday in Warri, said now that Tompolo had admitted that the alleged N13 billion was approved by the Federal Executive Council, FEC and Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, Federal Ministry of Lands and Survey, Federal Ministry of Transport, NIMASA, the EFCC should ask Tompolo why Okerenkoko was paid only N360 million for the land.
They said Tompolo was not above the law and he should tell Nigerians the whereabouts of the balance of over N12billion, urging the EFCC to invite Tompolo and also the immediate former ministers of the aforementioned ministries and agency to explain their respective roles in the transaction.

I'm waiting for Nwoye who said Tompolo is his Hero to come and comment here. When a whole community says you are a rogue then EFCc has a good case. Tompolo bought a personal jet. Where is it?
ReplyDeleteThe Ijaw tribe used to be respected and had produced a number of eminent personalties eg Boyo and Co. It is a shame that thugs and half baked scholars are what they can parade. No doubt Pa Clark had to make a uturn. What a shame! If you are close to them you will notice that two vices that control their lives are booze and women, na curse?

ReplyDeleteThanks to Chief Michael Johnny for confessing that some money was paid to the community, so it seems not to be a fraud. It would have been a fraud if there was no business transaction in the first place.
