28 Nigerians deported from Europe

Three European countries, Italy, Switzerland and Belgium on Thursday deported twenty eight Nigerians who were said to be living there without valid visas.

Forty eight Nigerians were on November 25, in a similar way deported from the United Kingdom for various immigration offences.

A source in the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, said twenty four of the returnees were repatriated from Italy and two each from Switzerland and Belgium.

According to the source, the deportees are mainly males flown into the country in a Meridiana Fly aircraft, from Rome.

The source also said the deportees arrived at the Hajj Camp area of the airport around 7.25pm and were received by Nigerian Immigration Services and other security agencies.
