You can't be happy after just burying your mother, then your coach humiliates you - Enyeama

Former Super Eagles captain and number 1 goalie, Vincent Enyeama has again taken to his Instagram page to reveal more reasons why he decided to quit the national team following his clash with coach, Sunday Oliseh, and also tender his apology to Nigerians for his sudden retirement from the Super Eagles.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of whatsoever,I fear no evil for thou oh God JEHOVAH is with me.I didn't have a problem with Chief Onibginde,Chukwu,Equavon,Berti vogts,Lars Lagerback,Keshi.under Berti Vogts,I WAS INJURED.it was a match against Ugandan that we won 1/0.The coach decided to stick to Austine Ejide after that match because Ejide had a great game.ONE QUESTION to everyone.Who would be happy after just burying your mother that carried you 9months in the womb and suffered for you day and night, jumping on a 6hour plane to represent your fatherland only to be stripped of the captainship and humiliated at the first meeting in front of everyone after serving the nation for 13years.I have honoured about 99% of the national team invitations no matter where the match is played.Anyway,my decision to quit the national team is for the best interest of the nation.I don't want to be the reason that Nigerian football house is divided.I want Nigeria to get back up to where it belongs. It's a professional decision made for the blessing of the nation.I am very sorry for being the reason that all this things are happening.God bless NIGERIA#wearenigeriag.

  1. Unfortunately for none professionals incident like this plays out, as a professional you are not meant to let you job interfere with your work. When you know you just buried your mum why didn't stay away until you have finished grieving before returning to work.I don't think you were forced to return to camp by the coach.once you decided to join the team that meant you were man enough to take whatever comes to you as a professional but obviously you are not. What's with Nigerians pretending they really uphold the Christian faith as taught by Jesus, same way a guy was just caught as a drug baron running bank account with the name Eternal God International Ltd,stop deceiving yourselves people

  2. Thanks jare Anonymous 1:32PM. He should just go to have some rest. He didn't include Siasia in that list and obviously all the other coaches like Lars and Berti had short stints with the Eagles. Onigbinde is not even happy with your conduct. We will surely find another goalkeeper.

  3. You are also human with emotions. Olise lives to regret his stupid actions. Nigerians are embarrassed that a so-called coach would not empathize with his players and captain. This singular action will haunt this brainless man that has brought woes to the nation.

  4. Its very easy for people to pass judgements, and make undesirable comments. But he who wears the shoes knows where it pinches. As far as iam concerned, there's no way Enyeama will be in the Eagles camp and Musa is made the captain of the team....Haba !!!!
