Emergency security meeting summoned over Abuja bombings

Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Engr. John Chukwu, has summoned an emergency security meeting to brainstorm on last Friday’s multiple bomb attacks by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Kuje and Nyanya, areas of the nation’s capital.

The emergency meeting took place Monday in Abuja.

According to Chukwu, it was only normal for security agencies to take proactive measures to reduce any possibility of security breach in the FCT.

He called for intensification of surveillance in and around the 8,000 square kilometres of the FCT, with a view to nipping in the bud such unfortunate incidents in future.

  1. Nigeria, holding meetings does not solve the problem, this has been ongoing now long enough.
