I have evidence PDP chairman secretly worked for APC – Fayose

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, on Tuesday alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party lost the last presidential election because its National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, compromised in the conduct of the election.

Fayose said he has cogent evidences of his unholy alliance with the opposition before the elections.
The All Progressives Congress, which was the major opposition party before the election, defeated the PDP at the federal level and in most states of the federation.

This included in Bauchi State where Mu’azu hails from.

Fayose threatened that if Mu’azu goes any further to deny romancing the opposition before the election, he would expose all his underhand deals.

The governor also challenged the National Working Committee of the party to provide evidence of money released to him to prosecute the last general elections.

He said only N30 million was released to him for the prosecution of the last two elections.

Fayose stated this in a statement by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, on Tuesday.

Fayose insisted that his call for the dissolution of the Mu’azu-led NWC of the PDP was in good faith and in the overall interest of the party.

He added: “I have no apology on my position on the NWC because their responsibility as a party does not take away their failure in the last general elections.”

The governor, who challenged the NWC to provide evidence of money released to him to prosecute the last elections, added: “Only N30 million was received for the last two elections and to the glory of the Almighty God and support of Ekiti people, we won all elections outrightly.

“I therefore demand for the mode with which money was released to me by the NWC.”

Governor Fayose reiterated his commitment to the PDP, pointing out that if it remained only him in the party, he would continue to defend its course.

He said: “If it remains only me, I will continue to defend the course of this party because some people are born to stand up at difficult times, and I believe I am one such people born to stand up for the PDP at this difficult time.”

Reiterating his call for the dissolution of the NWC, Governor Fayose said: “In saner climes, when a war commander leads his troop to an embarrassing defeat, such commander does not need anyone to tell him that he needs to leave the war front for another commander to take over.”

While describing the attack on his person by the NWC as unfortunate, the governor said it was sad that the NWC members, especially the National Chairman, were refusing to allow new people to manage the party after managing it into its first national electoral failure.

He said: “How do we explain the PDP losing so scandalously in Bauchi State, despite the presence of the National Chairman, Federal Capital Territory Minister and the State governor?

“I am even more particular about the National Chairman because he sold the party to the opposition. I have cogent evidences of his unholy alliance with the opposition before the elections and if they go any further, I will expose all his underhand deals.

“I want to say it again that I have no apology for calling for the resignation of the NWC members, especially the National Chairman. After all, someone resigned his position as the National Chairman for Alhaji Mu’azu to assume office.

“Lastly, let me say it categorically that they can only attempt to destroy this party for the moment, not forever. Sooner or later, they will all fade away and PDP will rise again.”

  1. Mr Fayose, if truely he worked for APC in the just concluded election that means he is wise, your chairman knew the atrocity his party has done on Nigeria and Nigerians and he couldnt withstand it. However, he knew that their boss (GEJ) is just roaming about sleeping on the floor begging for his return with zero agenda. Now, the treasury os reading and singing danger on daily basis as a result of PDP corruption. All of you should prepare to face the warrant. Look Mr Man or what is your name you must dance to the tune of the drum because Nigerians and Nigeria must rise again for the bettermeant of the masses. Sai buhari GOD is with you jail whoever is jailable Jare.

  2. Mr Fayose, what did you expect from Muazu in the face of popular rejection of the PDP? Come to think of it, how many votes did you give to your party? Why did you allow the APC to score the mandatory 25% in your state? Please stop the blame game and consider your dismal performance a divine act meant to teach you and all those who think they can play the role of God in the lives of men. Stop crying!

  4. Fayose is a "TECHNODEVILISH"in character,he knows he would be removed from office soonest and that's why he is trying hard to secure the office of the party chairman before his downfall. But am very sure that he can go but nowhere after this short stay that he will enjoy before going to prison.Muazu is an intellectual man who knows truth from lie and realize when drop out from failure.
