Court orders NDLEA operatives to vacate Kashamu’s house

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the more than 50 operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to immediately vacate the Lagos residence of the senator-elect for Ogun East Senatorial District, Mr. Buruji Kashamu.

The NDLEA, whose operatives had laid siege on Kashamu’s residence in Lagos since Saturday, said it had received a formal extradition request on Kashamu from the government of the United States of America and was coming to court to secure an extradition order.

But Justice Ibrahim Buba, in a bench ruling on Tuesday afternoon, pronounced the action of the NDLEA as sub judice and ordered the men of the Nigerian police to ensure that NDLEA operatives vacate Kashamu’s premises “without a free for all.”

  1. Our courts should stop aiding and abetting crime, this is a new dispensation and with this frequent frivolous orders, there is little any one can do to stem corruption.

  2. If the act of parliament that established NDLEA provide for non interference of the agency's action, then the judge erred in law to have issued such order. Be that as it may, the agency should obtain warrant of arrest as a necessary instrument to act as such.

  3. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,

    Humpty Dumpty had a great fall;

    All the king's horses and all the king's men

    Couldn't put Humpty together again.

    We now know why Buruji out of annoyance and frustration with impending extradition now clearly facing him lashed out on the Ogun State Chapter PDP Chairman during their meeting in Abuja while Buruji's companion in crime, Capital Oil Ubah could not help himself but cry like a baby.

    It takes a lot of courage for a real man to face is impending doom and final demise.

    What we have here are nothing but a bunch of lily-livered cowards. What a shame.

    Lobatan!!!!
