A policeman, attached to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, and two other persons died on Friday morning in a crash involving a truck and a bus at Magboro, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
A police source told our correspondent that the trailer lost control at the Magboro bus stop around 5.30am and rammed into a Mitsubishi bus, killing the three occupants at the rear seat of the bus.
“Three people died in the accident, including one of our policemen. He was on his way to Lagos. The trailer climbed the bus and killed the three passengers who sat at the back seat,” the source added.
Officers of the Mowe Unit of the FRSC, who arrived at the scene, said the police had attended to the crash before their arrival.
