PDP wins supplementary election in Ekiti


The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Ilejemeje State Constituency, Mrs. Bose Dada, as the winner of the supplementary election conducted on Saturday.

The INEC Returning Officer for the election, Mrs Chiyelu Agwu, said Dada polled 3449 votes to beat the incumbent and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Segun Erinle, who polled 2715 to second position.



The INEC Public Relations Officer in the State, Mr. Taiwo Gbadegesin, said Dada would receive the Certificate of Return from the commission next week.

With this, Governor Ayodele Fayose has led the PDP to win all the 26 seats to the Ekiti State House of Assembly.
