NigerianEye congratulates Nigeria's President-elect, Gen Muhammed Buhari, commends President Jonathan

NigerianEye is using this medium to congratulate the new President Elect, General Muhammed Buhari, for his victory at the just concluded 2015 general elections.

Indeed Nigerians are aware now more than ever that the people have the power to sway the fate of the nation.

We must all see this victory as a triumphant show of democracy in Nigeria.

This is the first time in the history of Nigeria, that the opposition party will be able to root out the government in power and the party in power, present a different picture of what life looks like, giving the people the courage to remove any government in power during elections.

Indeed, power is in the hands of the Nigerian people now.

The victory for the opposition party clearly shows that votes of the Nigerian people count in elections, and indeed we now have a government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Nigerians have shown that Democracy has come to stay in the country.

The peace in the country, despite the tension that pervaded the country before the Saturday’s election, had been made possible by all Nigerians, and future generations will forever be proud of this moment in our history.

We however urge Nigerians, irrespective of their ethic, religious and political affiliation to respect the outcome of the election in the interest of peace, progress and development of the country.

We also commend President Goodluck Jonathan for being a brilliant statesman by conceding defeat and congratulating General Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the Presidential Election.

President Goodluck Jonathan made a remarkable step in making a phone call to congratulate Gen Buhari conceding defeat even before the official declaration of Gen Muhammadu Buhari as the new president-elect.

This is the first time in the history of the country for an incumbent president to concede defeat. It might not be easy for ordinary minds to grasp for a while.

President Jonathan conducted a free, fair and credible election, and regardless of the outcome accepted defeat and set a good example that will have positive implications for democracy across Africa and the World at large.

President Jonathan has shown that he is indeed a true leader, and we have to thank him for his service to the country.

NigerianEye would also like to urge  Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to magnanimously extend a hand of fellowship and statesmanship to the out-going president, Goodluck Jonathan.

Again NigerianEye specially thanks President Goodluck Jonathan for conducting a historic election. PDP may have lost the elections, but the president has surely won the admiration of the world by not interfering with the wishes of Nigerians. History will be kind to you.

President Jonathan will be remembered for laying this foundation for this revolution that has just taken place.

President Jonathan's name will surely be written in gold when he eventually hands over on May 29 willingly to Buhari without any chaos or violence.

And as for the new president-elect, Gen Muhammed Buhari, we believe he is indeed a quintessential statesman with a proven record of integrity and performance, and he will bring the desired development we all wish for.

We thank General Buhari for making himself a tool for the emancipation and rebuilding of the country.

Finally, we urge the president-elect to live up to the expectations of the people in order to justify the confidence reposed on him.

Congratulations Gen Muhammed  Buhari

Love live The Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!
