- He appointed the current Senate President as the Governor of Niger State in 1984.
- At 72, he would be the oldest person to ever rule Nigeria. The youngest being Gen. Yakubu Gowon at the age of 32.
- He is the third Fulani person to rule Nigeria.
- He had military training alongside a former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Aloysius Katsina-Alu.

You all have done well to this our (only) grate Country NIGERIA. My Greetings to you all our grate leaders, and my Greetings to all Nigerians the PEACE LOVING PEOPLE. During this period, we Nigerians did not experience Ethnic and religious politics, there was no Majority or Minority politics... ‘THIS IS MY GREATEST JOY’. MY PEOPLE! MY PEOPLE!!!, NOW the eagle has landed. Mr. Changer, Mr. Disciplinarian, Mr. Clean, My able PresidoOOO, ‘GMB’ you are welcome. Many have spoken good about you, while so many said that you’re better, but to me, you are JUST THE BEGINNING of the BEST. Once again you’re welcome my able PRESIDO. Always play the ball to the right direction. Join our past Leaders to say complete goodbye to Ethnic, Religious, Majority and Minority POLITICS. Always put smile to the face of Nigerians, always remember the Common, The poor and the very poor Nigerians. In all, catch all of them that have siphoned our God’s given resources + the Man who collected the sum of N1000.00 from my wife in the name of immigration recruitment. Catch them well. And also remember that so many of the looters, the Corrupts are within that broom which you are holding there and so many Bad EGGS, the Looters are still on the way to join the broom. Catch them well please and clean up this country NIGERIA. God is with you and will remain with you as long as you’re working for good of this Nation Nigeria. Thanks once again MY PEOPLE!
