Nigeria Presidential Elections: Godsday Orubebe reveals why he tried to distrupt proceedings at INEC collation centre

Peoples Democratic Party,PDP,has protested the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC,to investigate the petition of the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC,against last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections in Rivers State.

The party particularly accused the commission’s chairman,Prof. Attahiru Jega of not only being bias but also partial and tribalistic.

Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs,Elder Godsday Orubebe and Col.Bello Fadile, who represented the party at the Presidential Election Results Collation Centre,at the International Conference Centre,ICC,Abuja, accused the INEC boss of secretly working for the APC.

Elder Orubebe, who led the protest, wondered why the INEC chairman constituted an investigative panel and sent same to Rivers State to look into the petition from the APC,while it failed to act in like manner on its petition against elections in seven states of the North.

The PDP representatives, whose open protest temporarily halted proceedings at the collation centre, said the party had lost confidence in both Jega and his INEC,and demanded expeditious treatment of its petition against the elections in some states of the North.

Some of the states, according to the party, are Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Gombe, Bauchi.

  2. Hhmmm..this serious When you notice the fact that most states in the south have 50% and over of their registered voters not accredited, you will realise that the real Sinister Game to Sway elections in the favour of the opposition is being orchestrated right inside INEC.

  3. Quite true. His concerns are real but his approach indecent. Underage voters in Kano and kastina. Intimidation in the north causing non indigines to run. Card reader issues leading to low voter accreditation. Deliber a te logistic issues. Jega was really with the opposition but the president should ve known.

    1. abeg go siddon. Ok what about all the bush thumb printing (with youtube video evidence) in Akwa ibom, the non acreditation of opposition voters in Rivers plus the fake results (still announced) or the snatched ballots and thumb printing in Delta or the Opposition voters who were locked up in Imo. Yet these results were still announced.
We told you people but you will not listen, the average man on the street is tired of GEJ, our votes have spoken, they should be respected. PDP try again in 2019, period!
