Immigration Tragedy: Refund Our N1,000 - Nigerian Youths Cry Out

Hundreds of youths on the Platform of the Revolutionary Council of the Nigerian People have called on the federal government to refund the N1000 registration fee paid by applicants in the unfortunate immigration job exercise that claimed about 20 lives.

The call was made by youths and other stakeholders at a rally in Abuja yesterday organised by the group.

Speaking with newsmen, a youth and unemployed graduate, Attah Hassan Khalid from Kogi State lamented that he was one of the victims of the ill fated Nigerian Immigration job recruitment tragedy where over 20 persons were feared dead.
The Immigration tragedy claimed 20

He said despite promises to revisit the issue, nothing has been done to compensate them.

He said, “My grievance now is that I and every Nigerian that participated in that ill fated exercise need that N1000. We are not happy with that kind of situation

.We are graduates and not touts and wish to earn our living and if government will not provide for us, but rather take the little wehave, it is most annoying.”

  2. That matter is closed and sealed. The consultant company that handled shameful exercise is own by the wife (Helen Mark) of the senate president (David Mark). Abba Morro, the minister of interior is the David Mark's right hand man, and David Mark is Jonathan's right hand man. So case close; finito.
