Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has finally cleared the air on the controversy surrounding his School certificate result.
Buhari, in a briefing Wednesday, said, he would have dismissed the certificates issue as sheer mischief but for the concern expressed by many of his supporters and other well-meaning Nigerians.
According to the former head of state, he sat for the University of Cambridge/WASC Examination in 1961 with examination number 8280002, and passed in the Second Division.
Buhari’s words: ” I only consented to address you this morning because of the genuine concern expressed by many supporters and other well-meaning Nigerians that the issue be addressed. Otherwise, I would have dismissed it for what it is—sheer mischief and would not have considered it an issue worth the nation’s while.
“I had assumed all along that all my records were in the custody of the Military Secretary of the Nigerian Army. Much to my surprise, we are now told that although a record of the result is available, there are no copies of the certificates in my personal file. This is why I formally requested my old school the Provincial Secondary School, Katsina [which is now known as Government College, Katsina] to make available the school’s copy of the result of the Cambridge/West African School Certificate. This will be made available to the press the moment this is available.
“However, before we obtain that, let me say for the record that I attended Provincial Secondary School, Katsina. I graduated in 1961 with many prominent Nigerians, including General Shehu Yar’adua, former chief of staff at the Supreme Headquarters, and Justice Umaru Abdullahi, a former President of the Court of Appeal. We sat for the University of Cambridge/WASC Examination together in 1961, the year we graduated. My examination number was 8280002, and I passed the examination in the Second Division.
“And although the ruling party may want to wish this away, the issue in this campaign cannot be my certificate which I obtained 53 years ago. The issues are the scandalous level of unemployment of millions of our young people, the state of insecurity, the pervasive official corruption which has impoverished our people and the lack of concern of the government for anything other than the retention of power at all costs.”
Please let's stop playing around NE! How did he clear the air? We are talking about investing another 4 years of the lives of almost 200m Nigerians in a man we are learning to trust and he cannot produce his results! The very foundation of his proffesional career ! Are you kidding me! Please stop it. He is not the only card carrying member of APC who contested the primaries! Please stop this rubbish. ReplyDeletethe lines because they are all afraid and want the disqualification of Buhari at all cost cause they know that Buhari toe to toe with Jonathan with the masses Jonathan will actually with Humiliation go back to Otueke Bayelsa .
Now that most of them have understood there is a chance that Jonathan could loose this election, today if not that the man is old and analogue it would be that he is close to the grave, tomorrow it is that of his certificate next is that he is a religious bigot and
next is that he is sick and about to travel to the US for medical attention.
Can someone tell me what all this desperation is all about, in 2003 he was not seen as a threat even though we knew that people will vote for him and in 2007 same story but because of his zeal he kept coming back and in 2011 he gained lots of momentum and made us to feel his seriousness,
although so many of us still know that he would not win but there would be trouble due to some Hausas who prefer to vent there anger by spilling blood rather than to dialogue.
We all know that its not his fault but he made some inciting statements out of anger that caused the violence which was later contained as of then but later went out of hand because of the kind of president we have who will be silent for three months to know if of a truth that some girls from Chibok actually went missing before he can make a speech concerning the situation.
Then (2011 election) Obansajo who is the corrupt master planner was behind Jonathan and he Jonathan told us about his poor background and all that he would achieve if voted into office and that
made us to see him as the one that would have pity on the lives of the poor citizens of this grate country Nigeria and in my view he have disappointed us who appointed him at first .
And now that its clear that Buhari is going to win this present election going by how the wave is transporting, and Obasanjo no longer behind Jonathan his one time boy, many blind followers are now following their deceivers like Jonathan and his wife , FFK, Remix Omokiri or whatever his name is ,
Doyin Okukpe, Edwin Clark, Ruben Abati and so on check these characters since these Campaign and the nonsense that comes out of there mouth anytime they see a microphone but that is no longer my problem.
My problem is that I don't like Buhari but that man Buhari in all facets is batter than Jonathan who is a PHD holder in Zoology and yet so confused like a drunken man, if u ask me i will tell u that now is no longer about ethnicity and liking some one,
Its about the time to choose people with a better visions and for those of us who will prefer Jonathan to rig the election in other to remain in office be careful of what u wish for, and know it today that if Buhari gets disqualified or loosed because of election
rigging from the PDP which have been the trend for long years now, of a truth the dogs, the monkeys and the Baboons would all be soaked in there Blood in this 2015 and there would not be any hiding place

A blind junta cannot rule elite and educated Nigerians in this 21st century , no matter how much you like a blind illiterate cannot change his mentality. Buhari should be a shame of himself trying to foul Nigerians . What would the outside world say about giant of African that we groom illiterate leaders with have bake education like Buhari. APC desperation has come to lamplight that they are not true ambassador for change as corrupt politicians with fake credentials are dominating APC.

ReplyDeleteAPC have disappointed Nigerians for nominating Buhari as their Presidential candidate without verifying his credentials, We Nigerians cannot vote corruption into Presidency while we are trying to eliminate corruption. Buhari fraudulently contested the past three times without required qualification causing mayhem in the country, today God has exposed him. APC should immediately decay their Presidential candidate in competent to save other on the race in various state as Nigerian are seeing APC candidates as fake people fighting to destroy Nigeria. Buhari should prove to Nigerians upon thousands of Certificate on internet now which is his own -they say wonders shall never end .Buhari should be compel to produce Class standard certificate or FSLC from Primary school he attended not secondary school which he never attended.-shame to APC, Darkness has fallen on APC.

ReplyDeleteWe have reached a point in this country when sentiment has to give way to objectivity.Nigeria is the only country we can call our own.The situation we find ourselves is to objectively and rationally analys these two people with the view to seeing who among them bail this nation out of the mess it is embroiled.We must ask ourselves these obvious and vital questions;HOW DID THE NATION GET TO THIS LEVEL IT FINDS ITSELF,WHAT WERE/ARE THE CONTRIBUTORY FACTOR(S) TO THESE PROBLEMS.Names calling and insults will not help us.Answers to these questions should guide us in deciding who among these two (MHB and GEJ) we should vote for.
