2015: APC candidate raises alarm over plan to substitute him

The winner of the last House of Assembly primary election for Ezza North West state constituency conducted by the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state,Unigwe Arinze, weekend, raised alarm over plot by some executive of the party to substitute his name with that of a serving House of Assembly.


In a petition to the Chairman, APC Primaries Appeal Committee, Arinze accused the Minority Leader of the state House of Assembly, Enyi C. Enyi of plotting with the national secretariat of the party to replace his name (Arinze) with his own.

Enyi, who is the incumbent House member representing Ezza North West state constituency, failed to emerge the House of Representatives candidate of the party for Ezza North/Ishielu federal constituency of the state during the last primary election conducted by the party.

But reacting to the allegation, Enyi, who denied the allegation, said he was standing on the decision of the party that all APC legislators be returned to contest the 2015 general elections.
