The United States Embassy has said no American was on board the helicopter that crashed in Yola, Adamawa State on Monday.
A statement by the Information Office, Public Affairs Section, US Embassy, Abuja, on Tuesday, said the United States maintains a robust counter-terrorism and dynamic relationship with Nigeria and pledged continued support for actions to stop the Boko Haram insurgency.
It said, "No American was involved in the Yola helicopter crash as reported on Tuesday, November 11,2014 by some Nigerian news outlets.
"The United States maintains a robust counter terrorism and dynamic bilateral relationship with the Government of Nigeria.
