Popular Nollywood comedian, Mr Ibu celebrates 54th birthday

It was double celebration for one of Nigeria’s comic movie actors, John Okafor, known as Mr. Ibu, last week in Owerri, the Imo State capital, as he celebrated his 54th birthday in style.


The birthday bash, which held at the Rock View Hotels in Owerri, was attended by the Executive Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, represented by one of his commissioners, Hon. Uche Nwosu.

The hosts, Fred Bright and Xbuster, kept the audience spell-bound all through the ceremony with their superlative performances.

Earlier, Mr. Ibru had been honoured with the Best Movie Actor of the Year award by The Peace Ambassadors of Nigeria in Abuja. However, the award was formerly presented to him at the birthday event by his Manager, Okey Nwuzor.

In attendance were the likes of Nollywood stars, Chinyere Winfred, Offialagu Mbaka, Dauda, Jericho, Emeka Rollas, Ajebo, Kakaki, Chinyere Udoma, Dunhil as well as Nollywood director, Adin Williams, and one-time John Player World Dancing Champion, Issac Chinagorum.

Musicians like Xbuster and Ibeh Chukwuneke, aka MC Chuks, thrilled the audience with their scintillating tunes and performances.
