Kenyan Afro-pop group, Sauti Sol Beats Davido To Emerge 'Best African Act'



While we’re reeling off the uneventful news that our 2014 champ and O.B.O, Davido couldn’t secure a win at the 2014 MOBO Awards for Best African Act category, the organizers of the MTV Europe Music Awards have gone ahead to announce the winner of their Best African Act category, and it's the group from Kenya, Sauti Sol.


Sauti Sol is the first Kenyan act to win the much coveted award.

The event will take place tonight in Glasgow, Scotland.

 The artist with the most votes in each of the regional categories will become that region’s Worldwide Act nominee.
