FG giving Oritsejafor bad name – CAN

South West chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has berated the Federal Government for giving Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, President of the Christain Association of Nigeria, CAN, a bad name over the use of his private jet for the procurement of arms for the country.

The association said in a communiqué signed by its chairman, Archbishop Magnus Adeyemi Atilade in Osogbo, Osun State, that the National Security Adviser, and Defence Minister should be questioned to explain what they knew about the deal, resulting in the seizure of $9.3milion arms funds by the South African Government.

CAN said the whole issue looked like a set-up because its national president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor whose jet was hired for the arms purchase is neither a government official, nor had control of the jet when it had been leased for whatever purpose the hirer used it.

It said, “Dasuki and Gwarzo should be questioned and they should provide urgent answers to this national embarrassment to Nigerians.”
