World Cup: Eagles get N20.8m each
Players who qualified Nigeria to a fifth World Cup also got a share of the FIFA largesse, several top team officials disclosed.
Team officials were also not left out of the largesse with the least getting about $25,000.
But it was further learnt that it was not all plain sailing as there were disagreements particularly as regards whether those who qualified the team for Brazil 2014 should also be part of the appearance fee.
“There was a big issue among the senior players whether those who were part of the qualifiers should also get something. At the end of the day, skipper Joseph Yobo prevailed that they also have to be included,” a team official informed AfricanFootball.com

In Europe players see it as an honour to represent their country. Here in Nigeria players want to have it all and also hold the Country to ransom. When they retire from football they want the country to take care of them when they had earlier received their reward and held the country to ransom. Look at the Holland bench you see Patrick Kluviert who represented Holland some years ago and you can even see how proud he is to be in the Holland bench.

Why is it that our government is full of waste? over what? people are dying day-by-day, hardship here and there, no jobs for the graduates' our youths are helpless, industries are collapsing,companies are going down, businesses are going down gradually, no empowerment to those that needs it, in what way are they going to give back to the society in their own little way, the suffering of the people is on high level, what a waste on human resources who refused to bring back glory to the country, as for me the money baseless, because some of them will lavish this money on vanities. you guys should try and affect lives there is too much sufferings on our land
