Jonathan appoints Rufa’i Alkali as political adviser

President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed Rufa’i Alkali, a professor, as his new Special Adviser on Political Affairs.



Mr. Alkali, a political scientist, once served as National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and was appointed Pro-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna last year. He hails from Gombe State.

Mr. Alkali replaces Ahmed Gulak who was sacked in April.

The President has also appointed Baraka Sani as his Senior Special Assistant for Schools Agriculture Programme. Ms. Sani was until recently, the Kano State Commissioner for Agriculture.

Both appointments are with immediate effect, according to Mr. Jonathan’s spokesperson, Reuben Abati.

  2. Why does Nigerianeye consider this breaking news. By the end of next week we shall all have been appointed ministers and PAs by Jonathan who doesn't know what he is doing. It's all about winning an election by hook or crrok, not about doing right for the country.

  3. Appointing old and good for nothing fools into office makes me hate this so called president the more. How will d nation move forward? Chai chai there is God oooo. That is why nagerians will always prefer shortcuts to everything cos things are not done on merit rather who u kn.

APC are muslims and haters .They will rule with vengance .majority of the gov have finished their term and want to be given automatic ticket to senate .let's watch and see .this romance will soon colapse .The yorubas always play double standards. see what they did during biafran war .I rather trust fulani than yoruba. the only interest that matters to them is there own .mgbat gbati political ashawos .no ideology.no principle .
