In her words..
"As celebrities, we thought it was our responsibility to shed light and bring to the forefront this inhumane act."
When asked about the slow pace, response of the government to the abduction of the Chibok girls
She said "For me I think it will be unfair to say they (the federal govt) were slow to react because nobody knew whether they reacted or not. The thing is we we weren't told, we didn't know if they were aware of the situation or not. The major problem we had was the lack of communication. We just wanted them to react to us. Now we can see things being put in place, now we can see effort being made and that will be credited to the noise that's been made, the campaigning that's been made around the world. We are grateful for all the attention."
Asked if she welcomes foreign support
"This has been going on way too long and there's no shame asking for help and in taking it. The truth is, terrorism is not only our problem, it's not a continent problem, it's a global issue and we all have to come together to help it, We won't stop until they bring back our girls. It will be so disapoiting if the world finds out that there is no missing children.......
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it,how did they move the children ? And I believe that 20 gunmen can not move over 200 students and all the security agents in nigeria will not notice the operation...... God is watching us o!
Very lovely initiative indeed; but tell me "Madam Celebrity", what r u saying about your shameless MEND uncles who are kidnapping people virtually everyday in the Niger Delta? What are you saying about these shameless people whose everyday job is to kidnap innocent people especially in the southern part of Nigeria? Kidnapping for Naija na today???
ReplyDeleteThis is what everybody should have been doing reacting to the abduction positively instead of blaming president Goodluck.but your reaction rather came late as one of Nigerian's top celebrities.thank u
