National Conference: 'We will leave Nigeria and join Cameroun' Lamido of Adamawa threatens

There was a mild drama Wednesday at the venue of the on- going National Conference, when a traditional ruler, the Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness, Muhammadu Barkindo Mustapha told his fellow delegates that he was prepared to secede from the present Nigeria if the country disintegrates.

According to him, if Nigeria breaks, some people in the country would have no where to run to, but for him and his people in Adamawa Kingdom, they would pack their luggage and whatever they have and join their kith and kin in thr Republic of Cameroun

The Lamido of Adamawa who is one of the thirteen persons and number three on the list of traditional rulers representing the group tagged, National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council of Nigeria, also said before the very eyes of other 491 delegates, 6 officers of the Conference and Journalists that he was also ready to lead his people on a walk-out from the conference.

  1. If the south say this we will start shouting treason and civil war. One rule for some and another rule for others. Why do northerners have sole rights to parasite the nation and give nothing in return but bloodshed regression and hold everyone else to ransom. We all know they will oppose all positive steps for process and rewarding merit. Fir decades they have held us back. Please join your brothers in Niger Chad Cameroon etc.

  18. We need leaders that are ready to sacrifice for this nation & not leaders who only think of their own pocket. I'm against Boko haram in the north but I think Lamido has a right to his own opinion. I strongly believe some stuff would have made him made such opinion and let's not forget that's its a National conference so he has the right to his opinion. Please let's find a way out of our present situation as a nation & seek peace at all cost. We are one nation & with what have seen we can only live as one. I'm a yoruba but I love my Igbo friends & my Hausa friends too. We are all great as a nation & let's leave as one.

    1. Thanks bro. If all those kai kai people will reason like you Nigeria will be heaven.

    2. There's nothing like kai kai people, they just stated their own opinion and their opinion must not be your stance. we cannot continue living together as one Nigeria like this, every man feels cheated and marginalized because he's either a moslem or a christain. There is a solution to that, and the solution is never to be forced to live as one Nigeria. lets us come to the drawing board, dialogue peaceful, come to the agreement of splitting into how many regions and also taking into consideration of both the moslems and the christains faith. Afterall Nigeria will not be the first county to divide, every region after the split will struggle for a while and then they will pick up. lets split instead of killing and hating, and being suspicious of each other due to different faith. that's my take.

  21. The comments by his royal highness leave much to be desired. The people at the conference should note in their own interest that most of them would only be remembered for whatever they say at the conference. Therefor for posterity sake, any participant worth his salt would not just talk for the purpose of being heard but would talk to discuss lingering issues of national interest with the sole aim of proffering acceptable solutions to them. ab

  22. Lamido we are in support of u 110%good observation;we northerners are tired with so called faked oil producers.

    1. If you are tired pack your load and leave, I don't see anyone stopping you. just try to make it as peaceful as possible because I know peace is not in your Koran only war and violence and killing of innocent Christians! Oil producing states are not fake my dear boko haram idiot, they are the ones feeding the whole nation! but that as it may will soon stop! Moves are on the pipeline to that effect, another region should present their own resources let the whole country feed from as well! bunch of vampires, blood sucking demons!

  23. We have stayed united but in total disunity for so long. We have tried to appease fellow Nigerians to the detriment of our comfort and peace. We have come to better understand our true nature as human. Since some part of the country have turned vampires feeding on other people, it is time for us to go our separate ways.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I will contribute half of the transport allowance so that they will move together with Yobe, Maidugari and all Fulanis, they are problem to this nation.

    1. That's what everyone is saying, because the next step is for moslems to declare war, instead of war my dear book haram, why don't you guys start planning on how to from your boko haram country. you guys are just here to eat and not contribute anything! you moslems are plague and too violence, no non-moslem wants to associate with u. If the moslems are the owners of this oil in south south(Christians) they will never agree to share with the whole country! they would have long been gone! selfish people.

  28. So Goodluck was right in saying ' ur ppl will attack n run back to Cameoon. The North will collapse ( not Nig) bcos F.Lugard fraudulently forced Northern Nig on Southern Nig in 1914 (100yrs ago). By all means, go now and form Fed Rep of BH and kill yourselves in d name Religion.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Why are we forcing ourselves to be one when in actual fact we are not? Have you forgotten what happened at the eve of our Independence when the Northerners refused to join us to get Independence? Was it not why Zik of Africa conceded the Prime Ministership to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa just to appease the Northerners to agree to join us for the Independence? Have we forgotten that they were shouting "Araba" meaning let us divide? Another Zik has said he would not allow anybody to talk about dividing Nigeria. Is it not the time for us to decide whether we should remain as one or not? I think people should be allowed to decide whether to stay in Nigeria or not. This is the right time for that. Otherwise the Conference might be an exercise in futility.
